![]() ![]() Midi 2.0 is at our doors but, it seems, that midi functionalities, in a lot of recent hardware synths, has been stepped down. I'd like to add that's it's not only wavestate or korg. Then, depending on which track of the song i'm working on, would call the setlist, and browse for the right patches, while the sequencer is playing. If one day you achieve the bank select for setlist, i could as an example create a bass sounds setlist, a pad one, etc etc. Having to decide, before experiment, which 64 patches i could use (64 in only 16 patches per midi channel for Wavestate) and put them in a setlist is workflow killer, in my case. I can browse hundreds of patches before i get the exact sound i want. I remotely change the patches from the sequencer, my sequencer being at the center of the desk with 2 monitorings in front of me, wavestate is off center, a little to far, i will not listen the patches in a ideal way, from it. When the track has been midi recorded, i will spend an amazing amount of time to experiment with other sound (patches) for that track. When i create a song, i try to use to best patch i think that would work well for a particular track in the song (bass, synth, pad etc etc), but often i end wanting to change the sound. I remotely changing my patches for almost all my synths, was from my daw before, and now from an MPC X (could be another hardware sequencer too). ![]() ![]() ![]() In my case, having more PC possibilities would help a lot with the way i "work". Just curious: how many sounds do you use in a single show?I get your point, but why have unlimited storage slots too, who need this when she/he would probably only use a small amount of sounds? Maybe using "live show" was a bad example. ![]()
